January 14th to January 17th - Camp Sylvester
Camp Sylvester is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that sustains year-round educational and recreational camp facilities for use by youth organizations, spiritual retreats, community groups, universities, families, weddings, and special events alike. Camp Sylvester mission is to provide the best possible camp experience at the lowest possible price.

April 28th to April 30th - Bear paw
Bear Paw Campground is a tranquil retreat in the heart of nature. With well-maintained campsites surrounded by lush forest, Bear Paw provides the perfect setting for camping, hiking, and relaxation. The campgrounds offers a serene getaway for all who seek to reconnect with the great outdoors. On this campout, Scouts camped out in the lodge, had snowball fights and made forts!

March 25th To March 27th - Monterey bay
Scouts explored the Monterey Bay went on a small hike to the beach and worked on requirements. Monterey Bay is a unique campout that our troop has not frequented. However many scouts enjoyed it so it will be a popular destination for Troop 457. Scouts were able to play football on the shoreline and build sand castles. Hiking back scouts worked on finding different species of wildlife for requirements.

MAY 19TH TO MAY 21ST - POINT REYES
From its thunderous ocean breakers crashing against rocky headlands and expansive sand beaches to its open grasslands, brushy hillsides, and forested ridges, Point Reyes offers visitors over 1500 species of plants and animals to discover. Home to several cultures over thousands of years, the Seashore preserves a tapestry of stories and interactions of people. Point Reyes awaits your exploration.

June 24th to june 25th - Uvas Canyon
The scouts visited Uvas Canyon County Park, a 1,147-acre natural park. With over 7 miles of hiking trails, the park is the perfect campout location with beautiful scenery and small waterfalls along the trail. It is also home to diverse California wildlife and on the campout, the scouts were able to enjoy scenic views and campfire games!

July 30th to August 5th - Wente Scout Reservation
Wente Scout Reservation is a captivating haven nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Northern California. Encompassing over 2,200 acres of wilderness of lush forests, rolling hills, and meandering streams, Wente offers an idyllic backdrop for scouts to connect with nature, learn essential outdoor skills, and forge lifelong friendships.

August 26th to August 27th - River Rafting (OARS)
At OARS in California, the Scouts were able to experience the rush of river rafting amidst stunning scenery. They navigated thrilling rapids, soaked in the beauty of California's rivers, and create lasting memories with friends and family. Scouts were able to develop their skills on the water and enjoy a unique camping experience!

September 23th to September 24th - Del Valle
This month, the scouts explored the wild wonders of Del Valle. Nestled in the heart of California's East Bay, the campsite offered a picturesque backdrop surrounded by the mountains and the tranquil waters of the reservoir. The scouts were able to enjoy a peaceful hike, cooked a variety of camping meals and worked on their campfire building skills at night!

October 13th to October 15th - Pinnacles
The Pinnacles Campground offers a sanctuary for nature enthusiasts and adventurers alike. Surrounded by towering rock formations, lush oak woodlands, and meandering creeks, this campground provides a picturesque backdrop for outdoor exploration. This was also the introductory campout that the AOLs joined in for. Hiking through massive rocks and crossing bridges are just a few of the things scouts did on this campout!

November 17th to november 19th - Fort Ross
Perched atop a scenic bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this historic site offers a glimpse into California's past as a Russian settlement. Explore reconstructed buildings, wander through lush gardens, and soak in panoramic ocean views. With guided tours, picnicking areas, and hiking trails, Fort Ross invites visitors to delve into both its cultural heritage and natural splendor. This unique campout allows scouts to sleep in the towers and live in the Fort!
