The terrain of the park is rough, with breath taking ridges and steep canyons. Within Henry Coe Park are large areas of amazing wilderness area. The park is open year-round for hikers, mountain bikers, backpackers, equestrians, car campers, picnickers, photographers, and people who simply like to visit parks.

Mount Tamalpais captures our attention with its gorgeous hillsides filled with its flowered covers hills, grasslands, and oak woodlands. Deep canyons fill the park with redwood areas that intersect these slopes to make a unique environment for a wide array of plant and animal species.

Castle Rock State Park is sculpted from sandstone. The park has packed forests, and great views. Visitors enjoy hiking, backpacking, camping, and an assortment of different activities.

At this 165-foot-deep natural cavern, visitors can enjoy a walking tour. There are also above-ground zip lines, a rock climbing wall, and a gold panning simulation.

Emerald Bay, located on the undeveloped West End of Catalina Island, enjoys unparralleled access to the natural gems of Catalina's singular ecosystem. The secluded beaches and coves that surround us boast world-renowned snorkeling and diving, frequently counted among the top ten destinations in the world. For the terrestrial naturalists, the hiking trails that radiate from our camp provide the perfect opportunty to spot the endemic Catalina Island Fox or the famously anachronistic Bison. This well-preserved environment, under the care of the Catalina Island Conservancy, provides a uniquely accurate window into the natural history of California.

​The Florida National High Adventure Sea Base is a unique Scouting program that offers aquatics programs found nowhere else. Whether your interests lie in sailing, scuba diving, rustic camping on an undeveloped barrier island, fishing or a combination of all, this is the place for your Troop, Team, Crew, Sea Ship or Explorer Post. The Sea Base serves around 13,000 participants annually.
August - Angel Island

Angel Island State Park, the largest natural island in the San Francisco Bay, offers some of the best views of the surrounding Bay Area. With great hiking trails and many other recreational opportunities readily available, Angel Island is truly a hidden gem in the midst of the urban Bay Area. Scouts take a ferry to the island with their packs and bikes. They work on a service project, and bike around the island.

AOL Scouts will join us on this fun and exciting trip. We've never been here before, which means there are lots of new possibilities, including geocaching and water activities.
October - Yosemite

This campout will be two nights of backpacking through Yosemite. ​First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.

Del Valle Regional Park, part of the East Bay Regional Park District, is located in a valley framed by oak-covered hills. The centerpiece of the park is a five-mile long lake, with all kinds of water-oriented recreation, surrounded by 4,316 acres of beautiful land for hiking,
