July 17th to july 18th - rafting at the colma river
Coloma, California would probably be considered a sleepy little Gold Country town if it weren’t for one thing: more than 100,000 people pass through each year just to float the American River. In fact, Coloma is the epicenter for California whitewater rafting trips. Especially since its convenient location just 30 miles from Sacramento makes it an easy day trip for many folks.

SEPTember 25th to 26th - Joseph grant county park
Joseph D. Grant County Park, the largest of Santa Clara County's regional park and recreation areas. This 10,882 acre park includes some of the County's finest open space resources, as well as rich environmental, cultural and recreational assets. The landscape is characteristic of the east foothills of the Santa Clara Valley with grasslands and majestic oak trees. As part of the park's tradition and history, cattle grazing currently takes place in some areas, and is monitored under a resource management plan.
October 23rd to october 24th - Henry Coe State Park
"[Henry] Coe Park is the largest state park in northern California, with over 87,000 acres of wild open spaces. The terrain of the park is rugged, varied, and beautiful, with lofty ridges and steep canyons. Once the home of Ohlone Indians, the park is now home to a fascinating variety of plants and animals, including the elusive mountain lion. Within Coe Park are the headwaters of Coyote Creek, long stretches of the Pacheco and Orestimba creeks, and a 23,300-acre wilderness area." - Henry Coe Website

December 11th - Castle Rock State Park
Castle Rock State Park is a land of sculpted sandstone, lush forests, and sweeping vistas. From one of the highest ridges in the Santa Cruz Mountains, park visitors enjoy hiking, backpacking, and horseback riding. Rock climbers explore the park's caverns and rocks, including the namesake Castle Rock. Plant-lovers come for California black oaks, knobcone pines, and high-elevation coast redwoods. The park’s 34 miles of rugged trails conveniently connect to an extensive trail system that links the Santa Clara and San Lorenzo valleys to nearby Big Basin Redwoods State Park and open space preserves on the Skyline to the Sea Trail.
